1:1 Spiritual direction

What is Spiritual Direction?

  • Untangling.

In brief, spiritual direction is simply engaging intentionally in spiritual conversation. Many people come to me feeling “tangled up” spiritually, confused in matters of faith, stuck, and looking for someone to safely process these thoughts and feelings with. My role is to listen closely to you and help untangle thoughts and feelings that can feel like knots in the body, mind, and soul.

  • COMPANIONSHIP.

It is often our wounds that lead us in the direction we need to go to find healing and purpose in our lives. Times of change and transformation can feel quite daunting, lonely, and scary to face alone. In spiritual direction, a sacred space is created where you are witnessed and know you have a companion on your journey.

  • curiosity.

On the spiritual journey, we begin to look inward and examine our patterns and coping mechanisms that are keeping us stuck. A basic rule of thumb is that often times, we cannot see ourselves clearly by ourselves. In spiritual direction, we explore egoic patterns that can be disrupted and relaxed so that the soul’s essence can rise and come forward.

  • Discernment.

After identifying areas of healing and growth, we discern how you can take right action and develop spiritual practices to support you in your life.
